Recently some public package registries wrote a join statement highlighting the unsustainability of the current model: [Open Infrastructure is Not Free: A Joint Statement on Sustainable Stewardship – Open Source Security Foundation](https://openssf.org/blog/2025/09/23/open-infrastructure-is-not-free-a-joint-statement-on-sustainable-stewardship/).

I was wondering whether it could make sense also for the Haskell Ecosystem to sign the statement and join this effort, or to adopt a similar one to make infrastructure sustainable.
