I’ve released the 2025 version of canadian-income taxes.
After the previous year’s announcement there hasn’t been much news. CRA has unfortunately declined to even consider the application for interview last year, so I kept it on autopilot. There are no new features in this release, only the updates mandated by the changes in the tax itself. The only encouraging news is that I was able to apply the updates in a couple days of work. That’s partly due to relatively light changes in the forms (except for the accursed Schedule 8), and partly thanks to the test suite.
Maybe this year CRA will relent. In the meantime my plan is to try to improve the website https://taxell.ca/ front end with some LLM help. But you don’t need to wait, Canadians! The site is ready to use, and it guarantees your privacy by not preserving any data whatsoever.
