# Haskell Selected for GSoC 2024

The `Haskell.Org` committee is pleased to announce that Haskell is one of the organizations selected to participate in the [Google Summer of Code 2024](https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/programs/2024) program!  
This is a fantastic opportunity for open source newcomers to contribute to the Haskell ecosystem and hopefully stick around for years to come.  
A huge thanks to everyone who has submitted [project ideas](https://summer.haskell.org/ideas.html) and volunteered as mentors!
