You can download binaries for this pre-release now from [Release rc/v4.1.0.3 (release candidate) · commercialhaskell/stack · GitHub](https://github.com/commercialhaskell/stack/releases/tag/rc/v4.1.0.3) . It is should be available soon also via GHCup’s [`prereleases` channel](https://www.haskell.org/ghcup/guide/#release-channels).

Please test it and let us know at the Stack repository if you run into any trouble. If all goes well, we hope to release the final version in a couple of weeks.

A second release candidate because it seemed good for a Stack 4.1 to support the coming GHC 10.0.

**Changes since v4.1.0.1:**

Other enhancements:

- Consider Cabal 3.18 to be a tested library and remove warnings.
- Consider GHC 10.0 to be a tested compiler and remove warnings.
- Add flag `--[no-]info-table-profiling` (default: disabled) to Stack’s `build` command. Set the flag to enable info table profiling, including the creation of a new info table for every use of a data constructor in the source program.

Please consider reverting [Fix #6919 Switch search order of MSYS2 dirs in the Stack environment by mpilgrem · Pull Request #6923 · commercialhaskell/stack · GitHub](https://github.com/commercialhaskell/stack/pull/6923) for Stack 4.1.

Can you explain why? The change was made to correct a long-standing bug, given Unix conventions. I can’t recall now what motivated me to fix it, but I reasoned the fix was unlikely to affect any Windows user of Stack.

Ok, disregard my request, I could resolve my problem with your help: [Upgrading to Stack 3.11.1 seems to break `stack exec -- pkg-config` · Issue #6967 · commercialhaskell/stack · GitHub](https://github.com/commercialhaskell/stack/issues/6967)
