# Takeover of package Unique

There has been a pretty trivial issue on this package open on Github since February: [Support hashable == 1.5 · Issue #11 · kapralVV/Unique · GitHub](https://github.com/kapralVV/Unique/issues/11)

The maintainer is Ukrainian, and unfortunately may have been caught up in the Ukraine/Russia conflict.

I emailed the maintainer directly earlier today. If maintainership (after the requisite delay) of this package does occur, I was hoping the maintainership could be transferred to [Haskell GitHub Trust · GitHub](https://github.com/haskell-github-trust) . I am a member of that group and I will maintain it there.

The original maintainer responded, and uploaded a new package version which did not fix the original issue. I emailed again on but have not yet received a response.

As noted above, the original maintainer did respond, and did release a new version.

However, the new version did not actually fix the issue. I said so in the GH issue, mentioned it here and I emailed the maintainer twice all with no response in two weeks.

I would therefore like to reopen my takeover request. I was hoping the maintainership could be transferred to [Haskell GitHub Trust · GitHub](https://github.com/haskell-github-trust) and I will maintain it there.

I see you have already offered some form of co-maintainership (uploading metadata to Hackage). Alas, there was no explicit refusal/acceptance.

I have still not had any response on the Github issue and no response from the maintainer.
