[That blog post is so bad.](http://discourse.haskell.org/t/my-talk-functional-programming-failed-successfully-is-now-available/9725/70)

[It actually doesn’t even hold up when loaded into ghci in 2024.](http://discourse.haskell.org/t/my-talk-functional-programming-failed-successfully-is-now-available/9725/71) Sorry the author wrote Bad Code and drew conclusions from their own mistake.

`-XImplicitParams` is a perfectly useful extension if you read the tin. Understand it, and you’ll find uses. It’s better than `ReaderT` in some situations.
