Congrats with the release! It reminds me of tagref. How does xreferee compare to it?
Interesting! The biggest difference I see is that xreferee finds references with git grep, so most of the logic is just parsing the results, with git doing the heavy lifting of search. I’d imagine git has this codepath optimized pretty well, so I suspect performance should be better, but I’m not sure.
EDIT: Ran benchmarks, xreferee is about 2x faster than tagref
