I’ve made a proposal to extend bases Bitraversable with firstA and secondA, mimicking the first and second of Bifunctor - Extend Data.Bitraversable API with firstA and secondA · Issue #172 · haskell/core-libraries-committee · GitHub

No strong feelings, but I use Bifunctors and Bitraversable enough that I reached for it once and was surprised that it wasn’t there. I’m all for parity.
