Designing a Spatula in Haskell (Video)

Over the weekend, I finished making this (fairly silly) video:

3D part design done using Waterfall-CAD, music in Tidal Cycles.

Source code’s on Github, including both the source code in the video, and the scaffolding used to create the video.

This was my first time using Tidal-Cycles, and while it’s very cool, it’s clearly designed for live, improvisational, performances, as opposed to this kind of arrangement.

The scaffolding was also my first time using the Effectful library in anger, and I found it very nice

Very cool, and reminds me of some of Bisqwit’s earlier coding videos. If you wanted to take the work further, it might be nice to write a companion aritcle on how you derived some of the more complicated bits, and how you approached building the model.

Thanks for sharing. Flippin nice spatula! Music gives me Russian dance vibes. Pretty amazing that this is all from Haskell code. :slightly_smiling_face:
