a very silly question, but the UI of RTD is confusing to me
how do I know that what is the version number of
alias=stable or alias=latest ?like
stable points to which version ?
haskell-language-server β haskell-language-server 2.15.0.0 documentation - this URL showing docs for x1.y1.z1 or x2.y2.z2 ?
I asked LLM, it said that if you hover on the the Tab, to see the Title, you can know
so I am on the link haskell-language-server β haskell-language-server 2.15.0.0 documentation
and in title I see haskell-language-server - haskell-language-server 2.15.0.0 documentation
Is this the relaible way to know ![]()
I would guess that stable points to latest versioned docs release, and latest points to latest docs release (i.e. master branch of the repo).
Good question, and I donβt have a good answer ![]()
I can tell from the build logs
That stable is the last release and latest is master.
Perhaps we want to document this in our read-the-docs
WHY NOT MAKE IT EXPLICIT ![]()
Does this mean stable = lastest ? = Latest GH release ?
latest follows master, so the current commit of master. stable /= latest. stable = latest GH release.
WHY NOT MAKE IT EXPLICIT
PRs welcome! Even though I am not sure what precisely you want to make explicit.
Not at this point in time, on attached screenshot you can see that latest was built more recently than 2.15.0.0 or stable. For example latest it has extra paragraph compared to stable.
I found that behavior on latest and stable is documented in readthedocs docs and it seems reasonable.
