I’ve benchmarked a library I maintain today for older GHC versions out of curiousity and the results were surprisingly stark.
GHC has come a long way since then!

The benchmark is from the dom-lt package (compared using criterion-compare) and not exactly representative of a “normal” application. But the difference is still really nice to see.
