Hire brandonchinn178!

Hello! For those who may not know me, my name is Brandon Chinn, and I’m a maintainer of Fourmolu and a few other libraries, and I implemented Multiline Strings in GHC 9.12 (with string interpolation in the works!).

My company is declining to extend my remote exception after moving down to LA from SF, so I will need a new role starting Jan or Feb. Obviously, it would be great to work with Haskell, but I can make do with most other languages as long as the team tends towards thinking more functionally. I’ve worked on backend, full-stack, and internal developer tooling, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of roles.

If your company is hiring, or you know of a company who is, please let me know! Any help is appreciated.

Brandon, your current employer is missing a huge opportunity by letting you go.

Although we do not know each other well, over the last few years I have been consistently impressed by the quality and thoughtfulness of your contributions to the Haskell community. You hare authored a rich collection of blog posts, well-articulated GHC proposals, insightful comments on the GHC bug tracker, and well-engineered libraries.

When we have interacted (e.g. on GHC proposals) you are responsive in exploring design alternatives, and are patient in corrrecting me when I am mistaken. You give forensic attention to the nitty-gritty details that many gloss over (the specifics of the spec of multi-line strings are an example).

If I had a job to offer I’d want to hire you.

Everyone else: don’t miss the opportunity to snap Brandon up!

Good luck.

Simon

I just saw this on reddit. Maybe it’s helpful.

Also send code emails to TWEAG, Serokell, standard chartered or any other known haskell company. I did that and it worked . Good luck!
