Issues when building GHC in nix

I’ve never attempted to build ghc from source before and am now following this text here: linux · Wiki · Glasgow Haskell Compiler / GHC · GitLab, and am stuck at running nix-shell.

The error I get is the following: error: failed to extract archive (Can't create '/run/user/1000/nix-119655-1/commercialhaskell-all-cabal-hashes-82e253f/yesod-core/1.4.37.2/yesod-core.cabal')

Can you paste a bit more context? Specifically, the ghc.nix commit you are using, the command you are running, and all output until the error. Also, perhaps check that you aren’t out of disk space.
