Protect Haskell development in Europe

Hi folks,

The EU has been working on new legislation intended to hold software companies to higher security standards. Unfortunately, due to apparent misunderstandings about how open source actually works, the new rules would be pretty bad for open source projects. The GitHub blog has a new article discussing the problems and what to do about it at No cyber resilience without open source sustainability | The GitHub Blog .

Many free/libre/open foundations have been trying to correct the issues for some time, but haven’t gotten enough traction. Since Haskell has a large community base in Europe, and all of its core projects would be affected, I encourage you to take a look.
