It has been said that some people refer to OCaml and Haskell, both functional programming languages, as Machine Language (ML). However, despite searching for information about this term, I have not been able to find any relevant content. I would appreciate it if someone could provide an explanation of what ML refers to in this context.

The ML does not refer to Machine learning but meta language, ML (programming language) - Wikipedia, if I am not mistaken
