I really like Gloss’s Model / View / Update architecture, and am hoping someone builds a similar wrapper for SDL at some point.

It looks very nice and the code looks well documented and high quality as well. The gameplay is just not exactly my cup of tea
I’m not sure it’s mine either! For one thing there’s too much randomness at the moment. I’m not planning to do much more work on the game soon, but I will reduce that some.
