Haskell would probably be a worse programming language if it were more explicitly optimized for startup adoption. Trade-offs trade-offs. So I think that conclusion is pretty good!
Also, don’t underestimate fun. Software only gets written if people spend their waking hours writing it. I know I would be less productive without Haskell because I’d probably just do other things with my time and energy. There’s a reason I completely ignore all non-Haskell recruiters
Speaking from experience, founding or working at a startup trying to secure its place in the world is life on a knife’s edge. If it isn’t fun from the jump, it isn’t gonna work out.
