A runtime-retargetable GHC is an inspiring goal. Thanks for the work on ghc-toolchain and for the write-up. I subscribed to #23682.

This is great stuff, and clearly not easy - I hadn’t even considered the whole issue about distributing boot libraries!. Full runtime-retargetability will be an exciting milestone for GHC (possibly justifying the looming “10.0” version number?).
