The base package is important to many, many Haskell users. And yet right now it is not clear what its stable API actually is, and thus what you can rely on and what you can’t. (Like any package, it has many internal functions, not intended for external use.)
I’d like us to be clearer about that, so I’ve opened a Core Libraries Committee issue about it. I’d love to have feedback from lots of people about whether this is an important issue for you, but surprisingly few people have contributed so far, so I’m posting here to bring it to your attention.
