…interesting: it’s almost reminiscent of the old P-code Pascal implementations - all that’s required is a self-contained Core interpreter (or self-contained back-section and RTS). Whether this could be done (e.g. to help with cross-compilation) is a question I’ll leave for someone much more aware of GHC’s internals…
